- named after one of the seven great Hindu sages (Bharadvaja), Bharadvajasana is a seated twist pose appearing in Iyengar and Ashtanga styles of yoga. Bharadvaja translates from Sanskrit which means “bringing about nourishment”— and the suitably dedicated pose is considered nourishing to the spine and internal organs.
OM sarve bhavantu sukhinah

May all be happy.
May all be healthy.
May all enjoy prosperity.
May none suffer.
OM Peace Peace Peace.
Health is the soul that animates all the enjoyments of life, which fade and are tasteless without it.
